✨ You're in Spark Your Finnish!

Hei from Finland,

It's Varpu here. I just saw that you joined the Spark Your Finnish class and I wanted to say welcome!

Most people say they want to learn Finnish someday... but you actually did something about it. 🙌

And now I'm curious.

What made you join this class?

Just hit reply and tell me in one sentence if you like. I read every message myself and I'd truly love to know what pushed you to start now.

Was it work in Finland?
A Finnish partner?
Moving here?
Or simply the feeling that it's time to finally speak the language?

A quick little thing about me, since we're starting this journey together.

My background isn't actually in teaching. I'm an engineer.

Early in my career I worked at CERN in Geneva helping scientists turn complex ideas into practical tools. That experience stayed with me because I realized something important.

I love making difficult things simple.

Later I started hearing the same message again and again from people learning Finnish.

"I want to speak Finnish… but it feels impossible."

And honestly that made me frustrated.

Because the way Finnish is usually taught is not how people actually speak here.

Most resources focus on standard Finnish.

But real life in Finland happens in spoken Finnish.

So, I built a simpler system to help people start speaking faster. The method I teach inside the class is called the Friendly Iceberg method.

It focuses on the small part of the language that gives you the biggest results in real conversations.

Thousands of students have already used it to finally start speaking Finnish with confidence.

Your journey starts with pronunciation, so if you haven't watched the lesson yet, here is the link again. Pay special attention to the double letter trick because many students say it completely changed their pronunciation!
