Hei from Finland! Have you ever been in a place where people didn't seem to appreciate your effort to speak their language? Maybe you walked into a café, smiled, and gave your best "hello" in the local language… only to get a blank stare from the waiter. Finland is the exact opposite. Even just a couple of words in Finnish can light up someone's face. Finns love it when you try. A small "hei" or "kiitos" can turn into a warm smile, a slower pace, even a kind word back.
